Liz Osborne

Highly abstract, my work is all about emotion. My pieces are often happy, fun and free then can turn into something sad, dark and emotional. I rely heavily on matching my moods to music which helps express feelings that I cannot put into words. Without picking up a paint brush I would not have been able to discover who I am and what I’m meant to do. 

 

The only connection I had with art while growing up was through music. I never felt like a pencil or paintbrush belonged in my hand, often leading me to feel insecure with my abilities. It wasn't until I went through a few life changing events, one including separating from the Navy after almost 10 years of service, that led me down this path of self-exploration and expression.

I draw influences from my environment, my children, relationships, past experiences and visions of the future.
